Christian Therapy For

Highly Sensitive People (HSPs)

As an HSP, you might...

  • Need extra time & space to process
  • Be easily startled or scared
  • Notice light, sounds, texture, movement
  • Be deeply moved by art and beauty
  • Get overstimulated when others are not
  • Feel strongly affected by people's moods
  • Have a rich, complex inner life
  • Feel emotions deeply
  • Need lots of "downtime"
  • Notice all the details in you surroundings
  • Feel like you have a lower capacity than others
  • Sense the emotional energy of others
  • Deeply process your experiences

HSPs have a heightened sensory processing sensitivity that can cause us (yep, I'm an HSP too!) to feel overstimulated by things others don't even notice. HSPs are more affected by noise, situations, stress, other people's moods, and even textures in our clothing.

Simply put, we notice and feel everything.

This can cause a lot of stress on your nervous system, schedule, relationships, and daily life.

Therapy can help.

Therapy is a gentle space that offers help and healing for the Highly Sensitive soul. Through practical tools, stress management techniques, self compassion, exploring your story, and trauma-sensitive principles, we will learn how to navigate a world that is not always kind to your unique needs.

What does therapy for

Highly Sensitive People involve?

It's important for HSPs to have a place where they feel understood without judgment. Having a space where you are free to be you and where your sensitivity is honored is essential.

Therapy can also help you order and arrange your life to work for your unique needs. Together we will work to understand which realms of life might benefit from specific changes to reduce overwhelm and increase your peace and balance in your life.
