Trauma-Informed Counseling

in Fort Collins, CO

It's finally time

to heal.

Fort Collins anxiety therapist

You've been noticing a few things lately...

Past pain is resurfacing

You don't like how you're responding to stress

You're reaching your limits in different realms of life

Old habits and tendencies make you feel stuck

The tools from your old therapist and books aren't working

You're ready for a new way.

Wouldn't it be great if you...

had clarity to move forward

could change your responses and default patterns

live from a place of strength, balance, and wholeness

gained perspective on the why you've been stuck

could process Hard Things in a healthy way

finally found the healing you long for

didn't have to do it all alone

My approach

Gentle movement forward.

My style of therapy is trauma-informed, integrative, and holistic - mind, body, heart, soul, relationships, work, schedule, sleep -

it all matters.

I believe therapy is a collaborative process. My job is to join you on the journey of recovering what has been lost and finding new ways forward. Think of me as a guide in the wilderness, pointing out markers along the way with clarity and setting up camp near streams of living water.

I am a compassionate and curious person (so many questions!). I am committed to the tenets of trauma-informed care and I am relentless in contending for healing in my clients' lives.

Our time together will be full of questions, conversation, processing, and spacious reflection. There might be a few tears, heavy sighs, and most likely a little laughter too. We will balance goals with slow reflection as we chart our way out of the pain and confusion.

Above all, I will hold your story with care.

Therapy with me looks like...

My style of relating is warm, direct, and curious (so many questions!).

Our time together will feel like a fluid and reflective conversation, with lots of questions, and a bit of space for you to think. There will be invitations for deeper processing alongside laughter and levity as we journey together.

I'll probably never give you worksheets or "homework" to do - I'd rather get to the roots of your pain than offer you band-aids to manage your pain.

Above all, I will hold your story with gentleness, safety, and respect.

What my clients say...

My clients would describe me as an intuitive guide - an old soul who brings depth into a room. They would say I meet them without an agenda and that I seek to collaborate with them instead of telling them what to do.

They would also tell you that they feel deeply cared for in therapy. This is not a manufactured transaction where you pay me for an hour of conversation. This is a real relationship where you are known and your story is held with care.

Many of my clients would say, surprisingly, therapy has become a highlight of their week and they genuinely look forward to their sessions. For many, this space has become a welcome refuge where they can process, grow, lament, and press into deeper layers of restoration.

Why I am a trauma therapist...

Healing is my life's work. It is my calling.

My passion for working with hurting people comes from my own life experience. From chronic health issues to childhood trauma and the deepest of grief, I am no stranger to suffering. Darkness does not scare me - I have no fear walking alongside you through your dark nights.

Despite deep pain and suffering, I have also experienced the goodness of healing and restoration. This is the very thing I contend for with all of my clients.
